Located 45 minutes North of Peterborough near Apsley in North Kawartha, On, this lovely lake is spring fed and is home to more than 1,200 cottages/homes.
The maximum depth is approximately 157 ft (48 M) and its shoreline in about 56 km (35 miles) making it one of the larger lakes in the area.
The lake itself has 3 main bays. West Bay, South Bay and Gilmour Bay.
For fishermen the lake is home to Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout.
There are 3 marinas on the lake and a public beach area and boat launch. There is an active Property Owner’s Association which maintains the marker buoy system on the lake as well as hosts an annual Regatta and Corn and Wiener Roast. They are active with the local township and Ministry of Natural Resources to monitor the quality of the lake
